I am far from you, but I can dream of you.”
— Victor Hugo, from a letter to Adèle Foucher written c. March 1822
relationships are so much healthier when the goal is to experience life together and not to try to make the person into who you want them to be or to make them do what you want them to do.

Lana was right. I do feel so alone on a Friday night.
Be passionate. Sure, be passionate when it comes to romance, but be equally passionate in life. Gently grasp it by the hand and run away to the most beautiful places. Who knows where you’ll go from there. Limitless, you have everything you need to get everything you want. The deepest sense of determination and confidence swells your heart and adds that lovely sparkle to your eye. Passion is not a single affair, passion is what you marry. Darling, be passionate about life, because without passion, life simply isn’t worth living.
Your diet is not only what you eat. It’s what you watch, what you listen to, what you read, & the people you hang around. Be mindful of the things you put into your body. Emotionally, Spiritually and Physically.
“The summer air is now laced with autumn breezes. Time is passing.”

autumnal reminders to self:
- be kind to others, flowers, and yourself. it is a season of change for us all
- work hard at what matters, and all else will follow
- find your roots & let them ground you
- as the trees prepare to rest, to settle deeply into themselves, so too should you. let go of that which is not serving you and lay yourself down to a deep, seasons-long, extended meditation
- everything has its season. everything has its season.
- every time you warm your feet in slippers, socks, and baths, feel that warmth stretch its sleepy little arms in your heart, too
- taste the words you read. savour them. make literature-based vocabulary lists and revisit them with every hot cup of morning coffee
- let out deep breaths that sounds like the wind ghosting down your chimney, through your attic, past your window
- take a minute to stand in every downpour that catches you and feel very damp, very cold, and very wondrously, magically alive
- sink breathlessly into relationships that give you warm, you-are-so-thoroughly-loved shivers: with lovers, friends, family, and yourself
things that warm my heart
- sleeping to the sound of rain
- lying on warm grass
- dreamy music
- cozy places strung with fairy lights
- cookies out of the oven
- films that make me nostalgic
- petting a happy dog
- forehead kisses
- being in the sun
- real love
Listen. Listen to me. Don’t ever stifle your creative impulses because you’re afraid your vision will come across as too pretentious.
You’re allowed to express your passion with as much melodrama as is necessary to achieve catharsis.
You’ll find it’s amazing what you can achieve when you pursue your art without internalized shame.

“Never apologize for being sensitive or emotional. Let this be a sign that you’ve got a big heart and aren’t afraid to let others see it. Showing your emotions is a sign of strength.”
— Brigitte Nicole
A journey of a thousand miles must begin with a single step.”

i urge you to seek comfort in the fact that everything in the universe is subtly interconnected. it didn’t work out the way you wanted it to but you’ll end up where you need to be. keep your head up.
Some won’t appreciate you no matter how much you do for them. Release yourself. Go where you’re appreciated and understood.”

“Do I really want to share this information about my personal life with this person or am I just craving validation regarding my perspective/stance on it?” is a beautiful question and I’ve been less of a chatterbox ever since I started asking it
If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s this: We all want everything to be okay. We don’t even wish so much for fantastic or marvelous or outstanding. We will happily settle for okay, because most of the time, okay is enough.
She was broken but never hopeless; alone but never lonely. Her eyes reflected pain but projected courage. She was a beautiful paradox.
I aspire to be an elegant woman who is well read, fluent in many languages, who takes frequent trips to the ballet and opera, knowledgeable in art, dances the night away at galas and balls, who always smells exquisite and dresses magnificently. I can’t wait to be this woman.
part of me wants to live a calm life, living in a small light house in New England and drink too much tea while writing flowery poetry about the mysterious strangers in the grey, sea salt scented town. another part of me wants to live in a mountain tucked village in Switzerland, owning sheep and cats and traveling across Europe every summer with my dog, reading books and keeping secrets. the third part of my soul wants to live in an apartment crammed city in the sixties, writing books and living in crowded apartments with artists who smoke and swear and throw extravagant parties and witness the growth of a culture. all of me wants to live
Literally just romanticize your own life. What’s stopping you. Who will care. Commit to enjoying things.
“Art is how we decorate space, music is how we decorate time.”
adult: what do you want to be when you grow up?
me: an old lady with a garden, soulmate, tons of animals, & a peaceful forest home
“I wanted to tell you that wherever I am, whatever happens, I’ll always think of you, and the time we spent together, as my happiest time. I’d do it all over again, if I had the choice. No regrets.”
— Cynthia Hand, Boundless
And I will name this indescribable, overwhelming feeling of love after your name, for you are the only one who can make me feel this way.”
— Lukas W. // Indescribable
Why does doing what you love (career wise) feel like if you don't your soul will die? Why can't it be easy to tame then i wouldn't be so afraid that i have to chase it
Because doing what you love is worth chasing :)
Until you make the unconscious conscious, it will direct your life and you will call it fate.
